Chronicling 2012 - Blog Hop and Giveaway

Intention Journal Cover
I've already written a bit about my One Little Word for 2012 which is intention (you can read those posts here and here).  I took Ali Edward's class at Big Picture Classes last year (my word for 2011 was create) - and I really enjoyed it.  I'm looking more forward to it this year since the prompts won't change from last year - Ali will just update the class with some additional examples.  This means I'll get to see how these two words reflect differently in me between the two years.

Since I already had access to the classroom from 2011, I've started prepping my January page.  It's just a work in progress, but here it is to share with you.  I'm planning to add some stitching as well as some free hand doodling and I may change out the cards in the middle that have the words to Mary Anne Radmacher's poem - Live With Intention.
One Little Word January - beginning
I'm most pleased with the red/yellow/orange cards that you can see.  I dripped ink in those three colors onto water color paper (one page was a wet on wet application and the other was a wet on dry application).  After everything dried, I cut the paper down so it would fit into my printer and printed the cards out.  I purposefully didn't scale them completely to fit into the pockets because I want to add some background later to make them pop a bit more.

My One Little Word binder is a Ditto 8 1/2 x 11 binder in red that I picked up at Archivers. In addition to One Little Word, I'm also going to do (or rather attempting for the third time to do) a 365 Photo project using Project Life (in the awesome Clementine).  I plan to post both of these to my blog on a regular basis.  I hope you'll join me.

I'm so excited to be participating in Margie's One Little Word Blog Hop today as well as throughout 2012.  If you are viewing this from the blog hop, didn't you love Veronica's montage of the word Zen she did to add to her 2011 album - such a great idea.  I love Lee's post at the Linar Studio about the fact we get an extra 1440 minutes in 2012 to do some amazing things with - I'm already trying to decide what special thing I want to do to commemorate Leap Day 2012!  You can continue on your way in the Blog Hop just after the GIVEAWAY!!!  I'm so glad you visited.

Blog Giveaway Pack 2
The Giveaway: An awesome box full of supplies for a Ditto Journal. Included is a photo clutch (shown on the left), a set of colorful tags (shown on the right), a full set of insert pages and four different packs of buttons.
Is Hampton Arts sponsoring this post? No.  I received this box of beauties after I provided some feedback to the company on the Ditto Binder (the 8 x 8 and 8 1/2 x 11 binders use the same rings - therefore I have to punch added holes in all the 8 1/2 x 11 page protectors for it to fit in the binder).  I'm passing along the box of goodies to one lucky reader, chosen at random.
How do I enter? Leave a comment on this post with the word you'd like to best define your 2012.
Can I get an extra entry?  Absolutely - just follow my blog or subscribe by email and leave an additional comment that you did so.
How is the winner selected?  I'll let pick the lucky winner from all entries posted by midnight EST on Sunday, January 8, 2012.  I'll announce the winner on the blog on January 9, 2012.

Good luck!  Now, on with the hop. Head on to see Rebekah at
