Teaching in the 21st Century

I don't think this was what I planned to take a photo of today - and it was a beautiful day to have gone outside and taken some shots. However, I stayed late at work again tonight and when I got home I had a couple of student questions to respond to in my online algebra class. As I was setting up to answer those questions I was struck by the ways in which we reach students now that weren't possible just a few years ago.  I used our live classroom software to record two quick problem demos using the web cam and my microphone, posted them to the discussion board and got a student - hopefully - happily along her way.  Kind of amazing and a little scary all at the same time.

Happy "hump" day.
